About Me
Like many people who live in this beautiful state I originally came from somewhere else. I grew up in Colorado throughout my adolescence and when I was in my early 20’s, I decided my life needed a BIG change. I spent a summer in 1993 working in Anchorage for Eddie Bauer and R & R Bicycle. That summer after sightseeing a little and commuting on my bicycle I decided that Alaska would be my new home. It was one of the best choices I have ever made!
I’m naturally drawn to helping people and a sales job has always been a good fit for my personality. I like the challenge of assisting clients through a long and usually complicated process of either selling their single biggest investment or finding the perfect place to call home. The first years were very lean but it taught me what I needed to know to survive a long term career in this real estate industry. I’ve developed many skills such as patience, listening, time management and budgeting! I am consistently learning valuable information and seeking out more education to better perform my duties.
I’m a licensed Broker recognized by the State of Alaska and I’m celebrating my 22nd year of being a licensed Realtor in Anchorage. I’ve received numerous awards and designations throughout those years. Some proud moments for me are receiving multiple Platinum Awards and the very prestigious Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement. My designations have included Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE).
Other achievements that I’m proud of are receiving awards for being a top fundraiser through the Children’s Miracle Network and Multiple Sclerosis Society. Giving back is as important to me as being a positive steward of my community. I have ridden a bicycle from Hope to Seward and back, Willow to Talkeetna, Talkeetna to Denali, Girdwood to Hope and from Anchorage to Palmer just to enjoy the State Fair. Most of my distance riding is fundraising for the American Lung Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Real Estate can be a demanding profession but in the moments that I do not spend working I like to camp, hike and explore the Alaska wilderness. My favorite activities are probably kayaking and mountain biking. In the winter months, I enjoy cross country and downhill skiing as well as snowboarding. I enjoy playing hockey, but my skating skills are marginal at best. I have tried my hand at surfing a number of times and throughout most of the winter I dream about the beaches of San Diego and Mexico.
I specialize in representing my clients in the purchase and sale of single-family residences and income property within the Municipality of Anchorage and the surrounding areas. I truly love this area and pride myself on my knowledge of current transactions, school districts, neighborhood information, and related services, including mortgage, insurance and inspection information.
I'm a customer driven Realtor dedicated to achieving results and providing exceptional service. If you are in the market to buy or sell a home, I will put my 22+ years of real estate expertise to work for you!
